Hebei Hualun Cable Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of acsr tw conductor in China. If you're going to wholesale durable acsr tw conductor made in China, welcome to get quotation from our factory. All customized products are with high quality and competitive price.

ACSR TW Conductor uses Aluminum 1350-H19 trapezoidal-shaped wires, concentrically stranded about a steel core. Standard core wire coating for ACSR is Class A galvanized (GA2). It is also available in zinc-5% aluminum-mischmetal alloy coating or aluminum-clad (AW). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or complete conductor. It is also available in non-specular. Two design offerings are available: Equal Area or Equal Diameter when compared to standard round ACSR. Equal area designs allow comparable ampacity in a smaller diameter conductor when compared to a standard round ACSR. Equal diameter designs allow more ampacity and strength in an equal diameter conductor when compared to a standard round ACSR.

Product Q&A

Q: Hw does the stranding of trapezoidal aluminum wires in ACSR TW Conductor differ from round wires?

A: Trapezoidal aluminum wires contact each other face-to-face rather than point-to-point as round wires do, so the individual wires fit more tightly. This construction gives the conductor a higher fill factor at the same number of layers, a smoother outer surface, and less risk of wire misalignment during stringing. Layer tension must be kept uniform during stranding to prevent the trapezoidal wires from turning over.

Q: What should be noted when crimping fittings onto this conductor?

A: The cross-section of trapezoidal wires differs from round wires, so aluminum crimp sleeves and dies matched to trapezoidal wires should be selected. Before crimping, remove the oxide film and grease from the conductor surface. After crimping, check the joint for cracked wires or flash. It is not recommended to directly apply the crimping parameters used for round wire ACSR.

Q: Wh should lateral pressure on this conductor be avoided during transport and stringing?

A: Because trapezoidal wires have a face-contact structure, lateral pressure on the reel can cause the wires to slide along the contact surfaces, leading to loose outer layers or surface indentations. During loading and unloading, avoid laying the reel flat or stacking it sideways. Keep the reel upright during stringing and maintain uniform tension.
