The primary methods for conducting withstand voltage tests on low-voltage cables are as follows:
AC Withstand Voltage Test: For low-voltage cables with a rated voltage not exceeding 3 kV, a 50 Hz AC voltage is applied, with a peak value equal to 2.5 times the rated voltage plus 1 kV. For cables with a rated voltage between 3 kV and 10 kV, a 50 Hz AC voltage is applied, with a peak value equal to 3.0 times the rated voltage plus 2 kV. For cables with a rated voltage between 10 kV and 35 kV, a 50 Hz AC voltage is applied, with a peak value equal to 3.5 times the rated voltage plus 2 kV.
DC Withstand Voltage Test: For low-voltage cables with a rated voltage not exceeding 1 kV, a DC voltage is applied, and the cable is subjected to the withstand test for a duration of 20 minutes. For cables with a rated voltage between 1 kV and 35 kV, a DC voltage is applied, and the cable is subjected to the withstand test for a duration of 15 minutes.
