A: At joints, the armour should be stripped back to the designed length. Both ends of the armour shall be connected to earth according to the applicable code, and the cross-section of the earth conductor shall be determined by the system short-circuit capacity. The armour shall not be used as the sole earth path and shall be reliably connected to the earthing system.

Q: What are the limitations on bending the armour of this cable?

A: The armour consists of aluminium or galvanized steel wires applied helically. If the bending radius is too small, the armour may loosen or press into the outer sheath. For multi-core armoured cables, the minimum allowable bending radius shall be no less than 12 times the overall cable diameter.

A: The PVC outer sheath will slowly absorb moisture in a humid environment, and the insulation resistance will decrease over time.
